The county sheriff page identifies Sheriff Nick Gault as sheriff and states that the sheriff manages the sheriff's department, the county jail, the Juvenile Detention Center, court security, bailiff services, and civil-paper service. That makes the Danville jail the central local source for adult custody confirmation when someone has been arrested in Yell County.
This is an adult local jail. It is used for people arrested by sheriff deputies, city police, state troopers, or other law enforcement agencies in Yell County, plus people held for local court, bond, short county sentences, transfer, or another agency hold. The jail is near the courthouse area in central Danville. Visitors coming from the Dardanelle and Russellville side generally approach through the Arkansas River Valley routes into Danville, then move toward the numbered streets around the county offices. Visitors from Ola or western Yell County should use the main highway approach into Danville and then navigate to East 5th Street.
